Light It Up

As we are all preparing for Powwow this weekend, I can’t help but ponder how timely the theme and scripture basis is for this year’s event. Nobody but the Holy Spirit could have known what the year 2020 would hold as Jason, Chad, and the members of the South Texas Royal Rangers Executive Committee began planning and preparing the theme for our 2020 South Texas Powwow.
While Ephesians 5:8 is our key scripture for this event, the entire chapter is on point for where we stand in these prophetic times. We are commanded as “light in the Lord” to “walk as children of light”. This is a heavy undertaking in these dark times. The Bible warns us that perilous times will come. Knowing this, we must see to it that “we walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil” vs. 15-16.
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”  -Eph 5:15-16
As I look around, I am completely amazed at what we see going on in our nation and around the world. I am constantly reminded through scripture that I should not be surprised by the pure evil that is running rampant in our world today. Instead, I must give careful attention to my own spiritual walk through prayer and the Word to keep my own personal lamp trimmed and burning and to be certain that I have a constant supply of fresh oil.
As we gather this month for Powwow, let us seek the Lord’s Face like never before and believe Him for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon everyone, from the youngest to the eldest, at this camp. We need the Holy Ghost and fire like never before. When we leave this camp ignited with fresh fire from the Holy Ghost, there is no telling how that will impact those all around us. In fact the Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 2:9 that “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him”.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.-1 Chor 2:9

I hope that excites you as it excites me! We are living in “unprecedented times”, yes, but we are also living in some of the most exciting times ever when we look at Bible prophecy. Joel 2:28-29 promises us that “It shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit”. I don’t know about you, but I want to be in that flow!
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.” -Joel 2:28-29
As we pack and plan and prepare to meet at Camp Williams in a couple of weeks, let’s pray and believe God that He will start that fresh outpouring at Camp Williams on us, His Royal Rangers, and that He will do amazing and marvelous works in and through us in these final moments that we have here on this earth. Set us ablaze for You, Holy Spirit, and move through us like never before! In Jesus’ Name, we ask, amen!!
